Sarah J. Graham, assistant professor of music at Lewis-Clark State College, has been named the Palouse Choral Society’s new artistic and music director.

The society, a nonprofit, performs in such places as St. Boniface Catholic Church in Uniontown, the University of Idaho Administration Auditorium and Clarkston High School’s Concert Hall. She plans an October concert of the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein and April performances of Mozart’s “Requiem.”

Graham came to LCSC last fall after choral conductor positions at Illinois State University and two colleges. She earned her master’s and doctoral degrees at Michigan State University and holds degrees from Whitworth and Pacific Lutheran universities.

Michael Murphy, University of Idaho director of choral activities, left the position earlier this year after seven years.
