The Palouse Choral Society has been awarded a $2,500 grant to support its new Children’s Choir for the 2016-2017 concert season. The grant is funded by the Katherine G. Gellhorn Fund for the Arts and the Maxine Davidson Arts Foundation, both part of the Inland Northwest Community Foundation.

Entering its second year and under the direction of Claire Murphy, the PCS Children’s Choir offers choral training in the classical tradition for children entering grades 4 through 7.

Auditions for the Children’s Choir will be held in Pullman on September 9 and in Moscow on September 10. For more information about the Palouse Choral Society, the Children’s Choir, or the upcoming auditions, see www.palousechoralsociety.org.
